My life is at a numb

Feeling no pain and love

Not having to escort a dove around town

Not having a shattered heart when she fly’s away

This is perfect, being numb

All this time to myself

Enjoying the peace and quiet

My mind clear and clean

No more feeling agony

No more insecurity

Suddenly I feel a pinch in my heart

A smile of appears of joyful memories of the time we had together

The holding and kissing

The laughs and moments

Remembering the angry that twisted my soul

Cheating, lying, broken promises

You punctured my heart so bad

I pause my life breathing back to the numbness

Realizing your sweetness was really sour

Realizing you were always a slut

I’m back to my numbness self

But it’s when I’m numb

That I found you, my love
