ELLY'S PRIMROSE WAY!

She walked with dignity day by day,
along a lovely Primrose Way...
Her life was not always easy,
but faithful to her LORD she did stay!
As the years passed by,
her faith it grew... and slowly... patiently...
Her LORD, He Drew her steadily along The Way,
she remembered from her Primrose Day.
For when her thoughts turned sad,
she would recall...
The day a blushing bride did tread...
upon a carpet - a very bed of primroses
Scattered along her way,
by little bridesmaids on Primrose Day!
Pain and sorrow she sometimes knew
and was no more perfect than you or me!
Yet... from bitter memories she was set free -
some said into eccentricity!
But... oh, her LORD must have averred...
as the strains of her music in Heaven He Heard...
That He would Rather have His children such as she,
than trapped by their 'religion', as so many He Sees!
For she loved as He Loved her,
as a friend she was ever true -
Not just for the good times,
but in sorrowful ones too!
She'd listen and listen, not just for a while,
but endlessly... patiently - and then she would smile...
And lift you aloft as she remembered The Day
that she had walked along The Primrose Way.
A bouquet and carpet of sunshine to hold in her heart...
to recall and remember... forcing sadness to depart!
Though her Home Call she's had
and her earthly hands are still...
Yet... she'll be Praising her LORD
in Heaven until...
We all get our own Home Call and we can fill Heaven
with our voices to each golden organ refrain...
That she plays with such verve
and no restrain!
For if ever a spirit had been set Free,
it was Elly Gwynne for all to see.
A beautiful Lady who had Faith in The Day,
when she'd walk with her LORD along another Primrose Way.
AS friends and aquaintances in future recall
her life and her ministry to them all...
They'll cry from their hearts - "Thank God for this Lady, Elly Gwynne,
that our lives crossed with hers, until her Master Called her home to Him!"
