JOSEPH - THE BOY.

A coat of many colours,
My Father gave to me.
I don't think he would have given it,
If he'd known it would cause such jealousy!
I was one of twelve brothers,
Whose rage brought our Father such tragedy...

It started with the dreams I had,
When I was just a boy.
Spledid dreams that excited me -
But wisdom was something I had yet to learn to employ!
So I shared the dreams with my brothers -
Water could have been boiled on each head... what anger boy-o-boy!

My first dream was of sheaves of corn
That we had harvested in.
My brothers sheaves formed a circle
And bowed to mine within!
What rage they displayed as I told them my tale,
Towards me they began to walk in sin!

My second dream was even grander,
But my lesson I had not learnt...
I told them how the sun, moon and stars bowed down to worship me,
Suddenly I shivered as anger in their eyes burnt.
I even told my Father, he listened to my words, he wasn't happy...
But his reactions, my brothers weren't!

Father sent me to see how my brothers were,
Who were busy guarding his sheep.
They stripped me of my lovely coat
And cast me into a pit so deep!
They sold me to Ishmaelites passing by,
They ripped my coat, covered it with blood, a story for my Father to keep!!!
