LOT.

I left behind my homeland,
To follow my Uncle and Aunt.
We were following God, so they told me,
A new home we were to plant.
I took all my family, goats and sheep,
And followed my Uncle's dreams to grant.

In time I lost The Vision,
And longed to break away...
My Uncle gave me the choice of land,
The best I chose for myself that day!
He'd always been so good to me,
But sadly... selfishness held sway!

In time we moved to Sodom
And after war came, were taken into captivity.
My Uncle came and rescued us,
For us he had nothing but pity.
We went back to Sodom - in spite of its sin -
We lived in the city!

Then God Told my Uncle of His Plan,
To destroy Sodom and Gomorra for their sin.
Again my Uncle's pity for me,
Led him to beg God to Save my skin!
God Sent two angels to Lead us from our home,
To Lead us safely back to my kin.

The angel warned us NOT to look back,
My wife ignred them - and turned into a pillar of salt!
My daughters and I hurried to the hills,
In a cave we came to a halt.
In time my daughters got me drunk
And I lay with them - and it was all my fault!
