As I sat in the dirt and mess of my life!
You Waited as my broken heart and spirit
Considered my broken dreams and hopes!
You Waited as my broken mind flitted here and there,
Darting from one fear to another,
You Waited as my broken self-image grieved...
For what should have been... what could have been!

You Extended Your Hand down towards me,
As I sat exhausted by the outpouring of grief and pain!
You Spoke my name so Gently... so Tenderly...
That my eyes flew upwards to see Who could Speak so to ME!
You Spoke to my broken heart and spirit,
Each Word Falling like Honey and Healing Oil upon my wounds!
You Spoke to my broken mind!
Each Word Driving fear further away, banishing them for ever!

You Extended Your Hand down towards me,
Inviting me to place mine into Yours!
You Smiled SO Gently - even Your Eyes Smiled,
And I could do no other than choose to trust Your Invitation!
You Smiled Increasingly as my fingers Entwined with Yours,
As You Lifted me to stand Beside You!
You Smiled as Your Voice, Touch and Eyes
Enabled me to see myself as YOU See me - as Your Bride!

You Extended Your Hand, with my fingers Entwined with Yours,
Leading me along The Corridors of Heaven!
You Took me into Heaven's Throne Room,
Presenting me to Our Heavenly Father!
You Took me to stand in front of Him,
So that He could See me Covered Radiantly with Your Beauty!
You Took me to hear His Voice Welcoming me Home,
To see how His Face Radiated with Joy for ME!

You Extended Your Hand again, with my fingers Entwined with Yours,
Leading me to Dance with You in 'The Throne Room' of Heaven!
Guiding me with Your Embrace,
Your Arms Securely around me!
Guiding me with Your Face and Eyes Smiling into mine,
Knowing that Your Face and Eyes will ALWAYS Radiate with Joy because of me!
Guiding me with Your Heart as It Beats with my own,
Enabling me to Receive Your Love, Grace, Mercy and Compassion!

You Extended Your Hand again, with my fingers Entwined with Yours,
Leading me to Dance with You in Heaven's Corridors!
Swirling me Around among the moon and stars and clouds,
As they danced with each other!
Swirling me to Dance with You in a rosy, dawn-tinted sky,
As the sun began to rise!
Swirling me to Dance with You, as the sun glowed throughout the day,
Until it sank to rest in a spectacular sunset!

You Extended Your Hand again, with my fingers Entwined with Yours,
You Opened The Door to 'The Secret Place' in Your Heart and mine!
Where I can step into Your Peace and Presence,
Whenever I choose to!
Where I can hear Your Words of Love for me alone,
And receive Fullness of Life... no matter what my earthly circumstances!
Where I can see Your Face Radiating with Joy towards me,
And step into The Waiting Circle of Your Arms and Embrace!

You Extended Your Hand to me,
All those years ago!
You've NEVER left me, not once,
Though You may have Played 'Hide and Seek' to Draw me Deeper into You!
You've been my Champion, my LORD, Saviour and Friend,
And Increasingly You Allow me to see You as 'The Lover of my soul'!
You've Turned my life around, Given me Hope through Your Love for me,
Given me tenacity through adversity, Enabled me to keep my eyes fixed on YOU!!!
