A creepy, crawly centipede,
Or... better still... a millipede!
Spiders of every shape and size,
Are not exactly thought a prize!

Fish from rivers, ponds and seas,
Some are ugly, others the eye doth please.
A newt, a frog, a bulbous toad,
Species from a spectrum broad!

Blobs moving under a microscope,
Some bring fear, others bring hope!
Scientists euphoric over DNA...
They fail to applaud Your Creation Day!

Birds of beauty, birds of fun,
Have you ever seen an ostrich run?
Monkeys swinging through the trees,
What an evolution tease!

Lions, tigers, cheetahs rare,
For speed and grace beyond compare.
Elephants, rhinos, hippos, too,
All have tusks, or horns, and thick skins too!

Giraffes, solemnly chomping leaves,
While gazelles delicately sniff the breeze.
Peacocks screech and parrots squawk,
Monkeys chatter as though they can talk!

So much variety in every form,
From Your Word Spoken out, each one was born.
Your final Triumph - what a wheeze,
Such a motley company as these...

Men and women, the idea of being made
In Your Image, do degrade.
They'd much rather believe
That from slime... or from monkeys... they are made!
