The human race is lazy and greedy one, hopefully we will find a way to stop ourselves from killing the only planet that can support us.

If the world ends

it will be by our hands

our callused hands

our bloodied hands

the guns that shoot

are not triggered by a ghostly force

nor do the winds stab and mar

trees do not fall where the animals play

'til these hands bring chainsaws

the air did not pollute itself

nuclear bombs did not simply appear

its funny

we made these things

these cars

these bombs

these guns

these knives

but why

for survival

for convenience

for us

to continue to live on

to see generation after generation

flourish and love

and we kill by the thousands

and wonder why our children cry

we hurt them

ourselves

and other animals

we torture

and beat down

but where does it stop

where does it end

it ends when we end

when the final gun blasts

and the last knife slices

when the last needle is empty

and the last cliff jumped

when the last baby smothered

and the last hungry child give up.

There is no question

that the hands that built

these beautiful things we covet

will tear them all apart

and us with them

and the world will cease to exist.

At least to the

dumb

sad

sorry

scared

evil

untrustworthy

disloyal

facetious

disgusting

human race.
