Photographs are we, the immortal...they are we, the creative...they are we, the loved.

What I'm wearing

When somebody takes a picture

Is forever

Forever suspended

I'm held high for all to see

I'm stuffed under a pile of papers

I'm decorated in a scrapbook

I'm cut out entirely

What I'm wearing

As people take pictures throughout the years

Is forever

Forever the evidence

That I am not who I once was

That I am not the little girl with bangs anymore

That I am not the kid with the ventriloquism doll

That I am no longer

What I wanted to be then

I am now a passing memory that

Is forever

Forever in the pictures

That people take of

What I'm wearing
