Things look good

For the first time in weeks

Tears were fallen

Fears have been conquered

But the wait's not over yet

As dramatic as the holes in his jeans

And the empty picture frames that hang from her ears

There is an aliveness in the air

That catches me as I'm falling

Me on the verge of...

That feeling they've tried to name

But could never quite get

Laughs were thrown

Masks have been torn

From the statuesque faces

Of those with the "perfect" lives

That seem always there, and yet not

This is what this is.

What is this that this is?

This is that which I make it

I make it mine and it will

Be MY life

To hate and to love

When the mood strikes

Things look good

For the first time in weeks
