The setting is the country

The background is the wood

The scent is that of life

The travel, on a dirt road

The rocks under foot

As we stroll down our path

Remind me so much of home

Half a country away, in the past

A smile lingers on satisfied lips

Finally, a moment to breathe

So lost we had been in the chaos

But for the moment, we are free

The road twists and turns

Through the slowly decaying trees

We wander on for hours

For eternity, it seems

The sadness soon approaches

in front of a small brick house, our tomb

The joy felt has depleted

Real life must be resumed

One day I'll make it perfect again

We'll stay forever in content bliss

I'll take us back to where came from

Away from all of this

To where the wind is always light

The water always flows

The feeling is always right

I think One day, we'll just go home
