The Winter Kiss

"You two need to stay here. And Amber, Make sure the house doesn't burn down." Sarah said to her two children, Amber, who was 13, and Ray, who was six.

"Alright mom. Go have fun on your date. And be home by curfew, k?" Amber replied sarcastically.

While on her date with her boyfriend Marco, whom she met on and internet dating site, they took a walk through the park. It was dark out so there wasn't anyone else there. Just them and the snowflakes on the ground. Marco just got over a divorce and was looking for a new wife while Sarah was a widow. She was hoping falling in love again would help her cope.

"Thank you for taking me here. I love it when the snow falls just perfectly like this." She said looking around the park.

"Its no big deal. I..." He paused, looking at how perfectly the snow landed in her hair and how her eyes sparkled in the glow of the full moon they had that night.

He put his hand behind her head and she looked at him those big browns eyes of her focusing on him.

"You have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen." He said, truthfully.

He leaned in closer and they kissed. It seemed as if time stopped. As if the world stopped moving. As if everything stood still. He looked at her and got down on one knee. After that kiss, he knew that he had finally found his new wife, the girl he'd been looking for his whole life. They were married the next year. They planned their wedding to be just like their first kiss. And everything seemed to stop as they tied the knot.
