I want to hitch a ride to Mars,
Please NASA I can't pay for fuel
but I'll bring my own food and water
I'll find someone to teach me how
to make air.
Please, you can leave me in
the billion year dead sea.
I'll sift the bottom for ancient hearts
and perhaps find what killed them.
The 7 billion of us won't have
to feel so alone then.
Please, you won't have to bring me back
I'll find bones and make shrines
to the ghosts of aliens
who perhaps will teach me... Why?
and then,
What is left of me will finally know.
and I promise,
I'll stay 'til the moon stops crying.

Honestly, I feel exactly the same way, especially about being left up there. Very nice!
