A crying soul swings tree to tree

An essence of life we think is free

But what is free when you can’t see

What lies ahead or what you can be

Become part of me, a nation a whole

Independence, an illusion played by the soul

A hole in your chest, built up and stressed

A test for a messed up mind that’ll settle for less

Trying his best but will never understand

What it takes to become a man.
