The twinkling stars at night
Such a depth in the sky
Galaxies extending as though forever
So much to see with my own eye
Waiting for my sight to return
The promise of surgery the same lure
It won’t be that long is what I say
I have to say it I have to hold on
So many stars, they are everywhere
I remember them, they are dazzling
So many I cannot count them
Thousands and thousands and thousands
There are sounds and other views
Waiting for my sight to return
Now three minutes closer to surgery
A single operation to renew everything lost
There are so many people I want there
The day everything comes roaring back
My parents, my child, my friends that care
Just waiting for my sight to return

I'm seeing all the wonderful things and new experiences I have yet to encounter in life and then the fact that I might only be able to experience it all in 4 years when I finish medical school.. It was a nice poem so complete/rounded. by the way i find your bio quite interesting or inspiring. You should continue writing, you're pretty good at it!
Hi to you-I felt a thank you was appropriate since I am new on this site and your compliment made me smile. So thank you! Also that is cool you read my bio. I lead an atypical life I suppose. Lucky for me I have a friend willing to place my pieces on here for me. Keep an eye out at content will be added to this page on a regular basis. -MW
