As I enter the garden I feel the coolness of the shade as it rushes to meet me.  This shade needs no invitation because it was here waiting.  I am the one that has come to it and it has invited me.  Under the shadow of the tall trees I can hear the leaves rubbing against each other and using the power of the wind to move the branches.  The branches have a language as they creak and I wonder are they speaking to me or speaking to the leaves.

Something was on my mind as I neared the garden’s entrance.  What was it again?  Was I thinking about something I was reading?  Was it someone or something that was bothering me?  That thought whatever it was, could not be more distant.

My whole life to the moment of entry was something else.  Within this garden I feel the air of life and I see the small creature hop to the protection of a fern.  It is not sunny at this spot and maybe the frog was what I saw.  It is not so fast but it was fast enough, as I cannot say for sure.

The trees again call out to me as I near the bright flowers.  Calling me right?  Or are the trees calling the flowers.  Maybe they do not even care that I am there.  I feel the grasses crunch as I touch.  I feel the butterfly resting on my back.  I cannot see her but I know she is there.  Does the garden see me?
