The clock on the wall,
Says tick and tock.
There are stories of all
Some hidden behind a lock.
Inside each house,
In each building
There is a mouse
That is gliding
Over all the lies,
Over all of the times,
Of both happy and sad.
There are days
When things just don’t seem to add,
Things just seem to be crazed.
Every day a new story
Is placed inside of the walls.
There are stories of hoary,
There are stories that all
Seem to know
There are stories of sadness
Stories of the low,
But there is also gladness
In the eyes of those
Who had the chance to have happiness.
There are the roses
Of those with the loveliness
In there hearts and souls.
There are also tears
In the eyes of those who no longer have a goal.
The walls
Hold the stories of all
Who walk through their halls
Those who might have not had it all.
But they all
Have something in common
They all are a memory inside the wall.
Even though they all are uncommon.
Each building and house
Has a mouse
That is called the ghost
Of memories.
This mouse is the host
Of the dearest, and saddest memories
In our hearts and souls.
The memories
That hold our goals
That we have succeeded at
And those that
We only came close to.
The walls are our mind
That hold our memories that won’t be lost in time.
