There’s not one peaceful place to rest

For my tormented mind…

A hollow darkness on my chest

That turns my feelings blind.

The lurking dark I can resist

Thanks every beam of light

But nothingness … this lurking beast

... this takes a lot of fight.

‘Cause nothingness is what we fear

Much more than loss or death

That voices that we always hear

‘Till sleep eases our breath.

That voices.. they are who we are

In future, past … and now

They’re calling to a soul so far

To reach… I wonder how…

The calling we hear now and then

Is guiding us through time

We hope to reach that famous zen

While fighting for a dime…

We hope… that gives us peace

The darkness seems to step aside

But in the end it’s nothingness

That keeps us all alive.
