Lost In Myself

By Joseph Beale

My delerium continues with full force

Beguiles me with no remorse

The compassion in my bosom has long passed

There's no way my battered soul can last

I am compelled to be contained and curt

Not worrying about my desolation or my hurt

My words are not spoken with enamored

My dark thoughts and actions I know are absurd

These feelings I have are inevitably hostile

Knowing I won't get away, there will be a Trial

In this Trial of my stream of consciousness, I will lose

My life is written with hate and death, I have no muse

I hate this place down to my deep dark core

My vile restlessness will be no more

My whole being is over can't you see!

There is no life of mine, There is no me.
