I close my eyes real tight and I pray…
For tranquility of my mind this day…

I pray for serenity to find my soul,
Hope to piece me back together into whole…

I raise my hands to the skies in search of something pure,
I pray for strength for this heart of mine can no more endure…

I throw the blankets of sadness off leaving me bare yet not cold,
I gather the fragments of me, I take one step forward, my pain I fold…

Drama has no place to rest in this place I call my own,
Out of this agonizing cycle I have definitely grown…

I told them once and once again: People’s feelings were not a game,
Yet they stumped all over my heart with pride and no shame!

Now, I take back what’s mine…
It will take time, but I’ll be fine…
I will no longer hide in my turbulent heart’s shrine…

I will be fine… I will be fine… I will be fine
