The Hat Awoke amidst a cold, dreary night, I sat up quick and in plain sight, A hat adorned, layered and such, I thought to myself, it be too much, Chucked it in the garbage, I did, It scuttled and juggles; It plopped from the lid, My eyes grew wide in the night’s Light grim; it lay and \\in silence for awhile, I slept quite soundly, I even showed a smile, Until I again woke with a loud ring, It was the hat, I thought I must get rid of the thing, Peeling my eyes, discovered to find, That hat sit not in the can, but Behind I jumped, falling backwards upon the bed, Stabbed by a hat pin and as I bled, I shrieked in horror as my thought and vitals dispersed, My body reacted calmly as though rehearsed, And as the night went on I met some slumber, Only to realize I had been since summer (With the hat upon my head)
