You stare, squinting out of sephia pictures,
squirming and giggling, forgiving the ardent
looks of looks.
You're there, everywhere, a strolling passeggiata,
una cena in the twilight, a french nouveau idea,
dream of dreams.
You're here, young and fresh, dark haired and
happy, content in the world but my eyes are
scorching and searching.
They lap you up, they drink in the sight, they are
waves on the shore, they are thoughts in a thought
that was you.

Tormentor. Traitor. It was you. Forgiver. Lover.

Delilah.

It was you.

AndI wish it was never you.
I wish you didn't exist, if only so
I didn't have to see you suffer.
