The Problems of being reborn... what a glorious thing! I think this one could do with improving though... :)

Today, I am reborn.
I heard mother's pains of birth,
I felt father's gentle touch, as he
wiped away the salt, as he
gripped my tiny pink hand.

Today, I am reborn.
And this city was the womb I grew in,
And this river was the cord
that fed me, until the breaking of
parts; I screamed for the comfort
and security which was so freely
given; I bawled out my eyes when
I realised there was no turning back.

But these are tears of joy,
For today, I am reborn,
And out of glorious nothing becomes
meaning,
And out of vast eternity becomes you,
and then me...

Today, I am reborn.
