Blean

As did you, in the morn,
cast shadows in the sun.
So did I, but my shadow
was strung in evensong;

And as you danced, whilst
the sun did stretch,
So I hummed, but hunched,
and my feet dragging...

Whilst the sun was setting.

And whilst you two,
together made it through,
You made it home.

I alone, walked
endless roads,
but still was lost

thoughtful and reflective;
turned back,
breathed in the wind,
looked up,
And retraced my steps...

Whilst the dim, sunlit
countryscape waited,

And fell beneath me.
