What a drag. Yet another day on the job at the “happiest place on Earth”. Yeah, right. Happy. Maybe if they paid for my cigarettes I’d be happy. Or maybe if they paid me in more than just Mickey Mouse waffles and free rollercoaster rides.

So this chick next to me, Dana Whatsherface, she’s all bouncy. Like, all the time. I think she thinks she’s actually Belle from Beauty and the Beast in real life. She’s even dating this really hairy guy – it’s almost as if she thinks it’s her destiny to marry the Beast. And so she sits there at her perfectly neat makeup table, next to mine, which is…not the tidiest, but hey! That’s not the point, alright? The point is, this girl is annoying and happy all the time. So we’re all cramped up in this rusty, old trailer, and she’s blow-drying her hair and singing, and I mean SINGING at the top of her lungs. It’s like, six o’ clock in the morning, for Christ’s sake.

Why do these families even have to come to the parks this early anyway? Isn’t it supposed to be a vacation? Aren’t you supposed to like, relax on vacation? I mean, the sun’s JUST coming up. Right now. And therefore, I have to go sweat my ass off while little kids wanna sit on my lap, take pictures, and ask me all these magical questions that I’m supposed to have magical answers for.

I mean, believe it or not, I’ve always been a people person – I’m really great with kids and everything. But that doesn’t mean I like people. Or kids, for that matter. It’s all pretend. But it’s a job. And I need one of those, if I’m ever going to move out of the hot, Florida hell-hole my mother raised me in and get my own god damn place.

But for now, I’ll just have to throw on the perfect, blonde princess wig and the perfect, pink princess dress and go out there with a big, fake ass smile on top of my big, miserable frown.
