If love and I aren’t mortal enemies yet

We’re pretty darn close

In fact,

I want to shoot Eros

With one of his own damn love arrows

So he can see how it feels

Let him chase after that girl in his geometry class

Who draws concentric circles around him

Let him flirt with the girl in science

To see if they have any chemistry

Let him wax on about the girl in English

While I sit back and laugh

As I imagine he laughs at my efforts

Laugh about how I conquered love

But then again

Doesn’t love conquer all?

Guess I’ll have to go back

To the drawing board
