If I shout my convictions to the wind

But no one is around to hear them

Do I still make a sound?

Standing on my soapbox

In a padded room under lock and key

Trying to get the last word out

Before they pump my veins

Full of complacency

Slamming my head

Against the fourth wall

Until my brain is exposed

Inviting them into my madness

Before I fade to black
