An innocent girl is sentenced to death for no known reason other than hearsay. I was just thinking randomly and I decided to write this because I was thinking about fire at the time.

I saw in fire, standing there

A girl of evil, i must beware

Clothed in smoke and white-hot fire

I saw her die upon the pyre

But still she lives, safe from the flames

She shouldn't have died for all her shames

Satan's mistress could she be?

Life in hell eternally?

But i remember, years before

She was kind and pure to her core

Wrongly judged, this poor daughter

And so they prepared for her slaughter

Innocent,so many cried

And many wept the day she died

So all i saw was an apparition

A hope that maybe she had salvation

Entered heaven, oh i hope so

Not to the firey depths down below

I had hoped someone saved her from the fire

But still she died upon the pyre

Your poetry still leaves mind in the gutter. It paints a sad picture of the many that were burnt as witches long ago. Again perfect flow and rhyme. Keep writting
