May is mental health awareness month.
Here is a poem I wrote about struggling with bipolar disorder. I do not have this particular disorder, so I hope my interpretation was okay.

Towering above at unrealistic heights

I am the king

I am the queen

I am on top

I am so very worthy

But then, without time for transition,

I fall

I fall into that of which

I  cannot control

I have become limited

Within minutes

I am a deeply saddened

Unfamiliar version of myself

Someone has stolen my crown

But even so

I can't say I want it back

Mostly, I just want to find one thing

Balance.
