I have a series of medical problems and I hate when people tell me that I am faking it.

Tick tock, tick tock

Bah-bum, bah-bum

The monotonous clock

My heart beneath my thumb

A tear streams down my face

My smile fades away

The past I cannot erase

Refuses to rest at bay

Wandering goes my mind

Down every single road

For everything it can find

There’s no stall for it to load

Heads begin to shake

Eyes start to roll

Like I’ve made a mistake

Or I didn’t pay the toll

Like I’ve asked for it all

I've called upon God

I was anxious to fall

No need for your nod

I want to feel down

I want to hurt

Not happy as a clown,

But beaten into the dirt

And forget all my effort

Or my beliefs

Stop trying to contort

And give me some relief

Push and push some more

One day it will be too much

I’ll be out the door

Or maybe more than such

I can’t help who I am

I can only do my best

So, try to give a damn

Give me a rest!
