???Free Period???

"Danna, un?" Deidara asked, leaning over the stacks of books between them to poke his freind. Sasori ignored him... as always.

"Dannaaaa?" The blonde repeated.

"What is it?" Sasori answered with an irritable tone.

He and Dei had been friends since tenth grade and they were now seniors. The blonde was chatty and annoying, but somehow they had stayed close for two years.

"Well, if you're gonna be a meanie about it, I won't tell you, un!" Deidara turned, crossed his arms and pouted.

"Fine with me" Sasori went back to his book, The Catcher in the Rye.

As another pitiful sound escaped Deidara, Sasori rubbed the back of his neck and glanced at the clock perched high on the bleak schoolroom wall; 2:45. Only about an hour until he could go home, smoke a pack or two of cigarettes, do homework, and possibly finish his book. The redhead was extracted from his yearning thoughts by a tickling sensation on his hand.

After about 30 seconds, Deidara was very tired of being mad and needed an activity to occupy his currently empty thought space. He began to draw on the back of Sasoris hand. Not too soon after the redhead realised what the tickling was his knuckles turned white.

"Look, Deidara" Sasori wheeled around "I'm not in a bad mood and would REALLY apreciate it if you'd FUCK THE HELL OFF". His whisper was furious and the girly blonde melted into a look that strongly resembled a puppy, beaten unfairly.

He'd had enough! Screw Sasori (me says: dirty fan-girl thoughts). He's always treated Deidara like shit. This was going to change.

???The Next Day???

"Sup, Dei?" the shorter boy jogged to catch up with his buddy, slapping him on the back. He gave no notable response. "Dei?"

"Sasori?"

"Uhh... yeah?"

"What am I to you, un?" Deidaras tone was accusive and mean.

"You're my very best friend! Why?" Sasori was confused.

"Until you start treating me like it, you're utterely dead to me" deidara sped up to get away from his ex- best friend. Sasori just stood there like a school girl who'd been dumped, his rose colored eyes crossing in confusion.

???The Cafeteria???

Sasori scooted inbetween Hidan and Deidara at table 8 in the lunchroom. Itachi, with his long black hair and scrawny build, sat across from them, the only one left besides them. All their other friends had finished eating. The anorexic boy had only eaten a cup of applesauce.

Sasori cleared his throat awkwardly and hugged Dei's sholders loosely "Hey" his normally strong voice was soft and sheepish. As he expected, he was completely ignored.

"Hm, relationship prollems, bastards?" Hidan questioned nonchelantly through a mouth full of pizza. Sasori shot him the bird as he tried to initiate a conversation with Deidara.

"So... what'd you do last night?" the redheads question was posed, as if he were asking a lot of Dei. Hidan snorted milk up through his nose, making a huge mess and Itachi smirked, stirring his half eaten applesauce.

Deidara got up abruptly, a scowl covering his half- exposed face. Sasori caught his arm "We... need... to... uh... talk" he turned the same shade red as his hair as he spoke. The blonde inwardly smirked, still looking angry on the outside. 'Aha! Gottum' he thought.

???5 minutes to bell in a janitors closet???

"Cozy, un" Deidara noted sarcastically.

Sasori swallowed, gathering his thoughts "Err.." Deidara had his arms crossed and was tapping his foot, an irked look on his pretty face. "I... " he swallowed again, feeling like he may acrually throw up. "Um... I'm" He couldn't do it. He couldn't apologize and obviously didn't deserve the blondes' friendship.

Apparently the party in question agreed, because he stormed off in a flurry of golden hair.

After a few seconds of standing soitude he ran after him; more out of reflex than desire to pursue the apology.

He followed the blondes footsteps down the hall at about 10 feet behind for a few halls, but slowly lost sight of him. Sasori sank to his knees in frustration and buried his head in his hands. What he'd give for a cigarette.

Then he heard crying. Out of curiousity he followed the sound. What kind of guy cries in school? At least it sounded like a guy. That person must be one hell of a ... Deidara...

The puppeteer stood frozen to the spot, his knees locked as he watched Dei cry with Itachi trying to make it okay. Sasori could barely breath at the sight of it. He wanted to run so bad before Itachi saw but his legs wouldn't allow him. He felt a little jealous that the blonde had went to Itachi for comfort. Deidara was really worked up in a chokey sob. 'Was he really that upset over me' Sasori thought.

He hesitated then waved his arms catching the emo weasels eye. Good thing Deis' back was turned. Itachi was about to open his mouth to speak, but Sasori made a slicing motion over his throat.

The blonde had felt Itachis attention drift away and looked up to see his gaze somewhere behind Deidara. He turned around and when his eyes set on Sasori he flew out of there.

???Class???

Sasori was half tempted to skip class, because that hour was when Dei was his lab partner and he knew that forced communication would only make things worse, but after all the shit sasori had vandalized and teachers he had horrified, expulsion was close.

So the redhead disheartenedly stepped into class. The moment he did, his eyes fell right on Deidara and he couldn't help but notice how red and swollen his baby blue eyes were. Many other students were stealing curious looks at the blonde and when the 2 teens made direct eye contact the crowd almo0st gasp. Slowly Akasuna took his assigned seat next to Deidara.

The teacher looked so confused and was murmuring under his breath "Weird students".

The sculpter didn't look to happy with that and added "I could always bring the girls uniform" causing the teacher to turn so red and uncomfortable. He knew he enjoyed it. Pervert.

Sasori could alreay see Itachi giving him death glares. Could his obsession with Dei be anymore obvious? Like the blonde would ever like someone like that, besides who would be the Seme, Sasori choked down a laugh at the thought. But if Deidara did like the black haired teen... you would just be able to tell, because when you love someone you can't wait to be with them again, you follow them around and want their approval for everything.

'The way Dei does to me' Sasori suddenly thought. It seemed so impossible to Sasori even though (without Deidara telling him) he knew the blonde was gay. The redhead shook his head, thinking that he was imagining things.
