We wait with hope.
He fights for his life.
He's gone through hell,
It's really not fair.
That brave young man.

He slowly gets better.
He amazes the doctors.
Our hopes get stronger,
Like his will to live.
That stubborn young man.

He moves his hand.
He struggles with his mum.
He hates the tube,
The thing down his throat.
That annoyed young man.

His mum talks to him,
Tries to comfort him.
“It's helping you mate,
I know it feels like crap.”
That strong young man.

He opened his eyes,
Only for a second.
He shook his head,
But only a little.
That young, young man.

As his mum goes, to get,
Some food. She says
“See ya mate, I'll be back.”
A single tear goes down,
That young man's cheek.
