I was standing there, the wind blowing in my face, the smell of nature and the sound of water enveloped me. I was standing there awestruck at how the park was preserved the trees were so green and healthy, the animals seemed as full of energy as I did. The water running, with some fish swimming in it, was so clear it seemed as if they took the purest water and let it run rampant here. The air smelled and felt so clean, so pollution-free, it cleared up my mind. The sun rose over the mountains and lit up the sky. I said to the person next to me, “This place, this is worth preserving.” I felt that this was a place where people can go and gain peace of mind. I felt as if I had realized the true nature of Yosemite.
