My heart is a black hole. Inside a depressed and apprehensive soul. Black angels, once bright in color Circle around my aching heart, And their wings flutter, Up and down, angels moan all around. As they try not to drown In the ensuing black liquid Filling up the hole. Tears of worry, Tears of misery, Make up the liquid. And as more days go by That I don’t see you The volume of liquid increases. It begins to pursue All my joy Because I’m missing you. Nobody else exists like you. Seeing you raises a sunlight within me. It consumes my whole body. And joyous, powerful archangels Float around my suddenly Happiness-rich heart. And an ever-comforting cradle Are your wide-open arms That hug me from day to day. Ever near I hope they stay. But most great of all Is your caring, loving, thoughtful brain. Which seems to understand me More than anybody else’s. If only theirs were the same. But now I worry about you. Empathize your blueness. Because I’ve heard what you’ve been through. All you ever see is blackness. So since I haven’t seen you, I just pray And hope to God that you’re okay. Cause if something ever happened to you, The black liquid would propagate towards my lungs. It would strangle my air pockets. And it’s like I was hung. In my own body.
