Beyond the darkness is where I’ve been placed
People fear to come face to face
Beyond the darkness is where I’ll stay
For the rest of my days
No place to stray
Nothing seems to sway
When there’s a day
That I say
I may need to stay
I may be crazed
But this is the prison you’ve chosen to have me placed
With me in this darken prison, your fears are laid
My heart is pained
From the hate you radiate
Unable to go back, since it’s too late
I’ll move forward and accept my fate
I’ve accepted the feeling of hate
That’s been aimed at me for countless days
The darkness has been laid
Lost time cannot be regained
The darkness has been made
As a prison for those who say
They are like me in many ways
I’ve been told to stay
Because no one seems to be able to see me face to face
Hurt by your words and your penetrating gaze
You thought I’d be phased
By the darkness that’s been laid
I’ve written this to say
I’m not defeated, just delayed
