If there was something you could do for autism, would you? There is a growing need for concern and awareness about autism. The Autism Society has been celebrating National Autism Awareness Month since the 1970s. The United States recognizes April as a special opportunity for everyone to educate the public about autism.

Did you know that autism now affects 1 in 110 children and 1 in 70 boys?

“More children will be diagnosed with autism this year than with AIDS, diabetes, and cancer combined,” according to the Autism Society.

You can help by donating to www.autismspeaks.org, or by visiting their website and signing up for the, “Walk Now for Autism Speaks” in your neighborhood.

You can also contact your representatives on the state and federal level and ask them to "Vote 4 Autism." For more information about this legislation and to take action to support it, visit www.vote4autism.org.

You can make a difference this April for Autism Awareness Month!
