When do we truly die? When do our souls truly fade away with the dust and remains of our life and work?

My Immortal Soul

By Ethan Peters

I am not dead when my own soul is gone. I will be dead after all my friends are gone

I will be dead after the remains of my family have been buried

I will be dead when the last of my books have turned to dust

I will be dead when the last of my pictures have been burned

I will be dead when the last object that holds my memory has been destroyed
And before my stone turns to ashes, I will stand by my grave, and I will fade away from this world, and into another.
