The Thing In the Void

By Ethan Peters

I have only heard tales of the unearthly being which lives deep in the floating black abyss, camouflaged with the black starry heavens of the universe. No man nor God has ever dared to lay their own eyes upon it, but I have heard of such details describing the hidden monster and only speak of it to those who dare to know such things.

I heard it comes from a dimension of unspeakable terrors, things that men should never see. The abyss is blacker than the eyes of the Black Serpent, and the screams of unknown things can be heard from the other side. The void itself seems to have an invincible soul of it’s own, you can almost see it breath as it slowly goes in and out. And it almost seems to be glaring at you with eyes of cold ice.

The monster that lives in the center of the void is impossible to describe, mostly considering the fact that it’s entire body has never been seen by the eyes of men. But it has ten long blackish tentacles that make their way slowly out of the void and float in such a random chaotic order, you’d go insane just looking at it! In the dark center of the void, there is just one fiendish yellow eye that seems to stare straight through you and burn a hole straight through your soul. The eye is large and bloodshot, it never blinks, only stares, the tentacles constantly thrashing and revolving around the eye.

The thing in the void, whatever it might be, will forever remain a mystery for all of mankind. Whether it’s a demon, alien, or even an ancient God! The thing in the void has been here long and was here to watch the birth of mankind, and will remain to watch the end of mankind. On his black throne in the heavens of the starry skies, the thing in the void has been, and always will be, eternal.
