Quite obviously about how bitter criticism can drive one over the edge, this one was written a while back. I try to make the point as subtle as I can, never actually plainly referring to the issue, but using symbolism as a means to let the reader use their imagination to decide what THEY think the meaning iS.

She’s slowly bending

And sooner or later she’ll break

Crack under the pressure

Snap due to the strain

A massive force all around her

Pressure from all angles

360 degrees I turn,

With no exit point she cries

Complaints of guitars

And screaming violins in her ears

She finds an egress point

But it’s so hard to get to

Everything is in the way

Everything clutters the floor

Too far away

Too far away for her to hold

She’s becoming frustrated

Everything crosses jaggedly in front of her

Unsuspected lies and torment screaming and running around her

Blocking her every attempt to move.

The weight starts to bend her spine

With hasty jolts in the gaps

The bones start to crack

She’s breaking.
