Reasons to Hate Middle School

Are you in middle school? Sorry for you. Wish you were in middle school? Forget it.

Reasons to Hate Middle School:

1. You’re almost a teenager. Your hormones are acting up and, lets face it, it stinks. Probably literally.

2. You feel very self conscious, and your self esteem is at an all time low.

3. Chemicals. Boys and girls. And school dances don’t help.

4. Only one recess a day.

5. Tons of homework.

6. No free time after school.

7. Teachers seem meaner than ever.

8. Your grades go down.

9. Mean girls. Big time.

10. People start changing their minds about you. And sometimes it’s not in a good way.

11. Teachers show no mercy. They’ll cut your heart out and fry it in the school kitchen.

12. Not to mention the food. Be careful about what you eat. I found a black hair in my hash browns one day.

13. At one point, you’ll be thankful you ever get a recess.

14. Breaks. They have to be longer.

15. Back to school dances. Who are they kidding, the boys will ask the girls? The dances are set ups for schools to steal money off innocent kids with high hopes, only to be disappointed and scarred for life. 1 in 10 dreams will come true.

16. Sex Ed is always fun. Growth and Development? Gross and Disgusting.

17. Who loves being treated like they’re five?

18. Schedules. They change every semester, for no apparent reason, and confuse you for the first week in school. And how do they expect you to find the classroom? Nearly everybody gets lost or is late.

19. And the whole thing is dumb. Why can’t they just stick to the elementary set up? One class with all subjects. One teacher. A snack and a nap every day for the rest of our lives. No, it has to be complicated.

20. You find yourself making lists on why you hate it.
