Your handprint heals my scars

My shoulder becomes a safe space, an anchor to the physical plane,

Dissociate yourself from reality, just for a moment, when our atoms collide.

For a split second, maybe we can free each other from this mutual pain,

Protected under my Raven wings, warming your soul with my Eagle heart.

This is a very moving piece, MW. It tells of support, of comfort, and I love the image of eagle and raven.

Sometimes the little things inspire writing, which I always love. Something as simple as friend resting her head on my shoulder when I gave her a hug stirred this one up. I also loved that final line myself, also just happens that the Ravens are my favorite NFL team and I just happened to be reading about them, Thanks for reading, Hully :)

Derina Peng

We all need to have a friend like that whose shoulder you can land your head on. Nice job Nik.
