I'd rather drift through outer space than be bound by gravity.

I’m falling faster now,

Gravity is pulling me back down to hell.

The universe wants me to go back to my cell,

That’s something that I can’t allow.

I was lazily drifting through space,

Disappeared from Earth without a trace.

I watched a sunrise from the moon,

And had a picnic on Mercury at noon.

I went to Venus and I got sunburned,

Then I got to watch a sunset on mars, unconcerned

About the things that I left behind,

Life feels so much better away from mankind.

I watched as the storms on Jupiter raged,

The intensity could not be gauged.

I danced a lonely waltz on Saturn’s rings,

The only time I missed some Earthly things.

I sailed quickly past Uranus,

It felt too much like home, with its plainness.

I swam in the deep blueness of Neptune,

I almost got caught in a dark spot typhoon.

Pluto projected my heart on its surface,

I watched a sky full of comets and asteroids sailing.

I’d never felt so calm than I did in aerospace,

All of Orion’s Arm looked like a scene from a painting.

On my way, I challenged Hale-Bopp to a race,

It won and spit icy dust right in my face.

I almost got sucked into a black hole,

That supermassive thing would’ve swallowed me whole.

I watched a supernova explosion,

Light up the night sky unlike a star’s implosion.

If a star could have such a beautiful death,

Maybe there’s beauty when we breathe our last breath.

Why do I have to go back,

Gravity is trying to pull me home.

As I zoom past Ganymede, Castillo and Io,

I realize that I want to stay up here forever.

Gravity fucking ripped me out of space,

And slammed me to the ground right on my face.

Blood rushes from my broken nose,

As I pass out while all my thoughts transpose.

I’m falling fast enough to lose consciousness,

I can’t get over the convalescence.

Gravity just takes me and pulls me down,

I’m stuck in the vice grip of its embrace.
