Do good cause it's right

Know I always gotta stay humble,

My accomplishments, barely a mumble.

Don’t need to flex, just to feel good,

Always be kind, just cause I should.

Flaunting, flexing, bragging ain’t my style,

If you want that shit, check the next aisle.

Work hard, do good, but in silence,

Apply to any situation, it’s timeless.

Be good to be good, not for a photo,

Bragging about success, I don’t condone.

Talk about your kindness on social media,

Got me looking at you funny, you deceivious.

You want likes more than anything, I think that,

Wanna show off to everyone, be the big cat.

Questioning your motives, what are you up to,

You didn’t really wanna make their skies blue.

Gave money to a nigga, just to post about,

Guess you really want all that twitter clout.

Wanna show your followers what you’re about,

Shit like that, though, got me in doubt.

Are you really nice or are you faking,

Cause I feel like you really aren’t that amazing.

Move in silence, don’t be flexing,

Otherwise you’ll get niggas second guessing.

Put good into the world, cause it’s right,

Not cause you get likes all through the night.

I'm with you on this one, MW. Some people just can't shut up about how generous they are. This one was like an outraged rap.

Right, I agree. That was my general feeling, after a conversation with a friend of mine. You just gotta do good things because they're right, not for attention, that's how I was raised and it's become a personal philosophy of mine. Thank you for reading, always :)

Thank you! It's not the most abstract idea, but it is one that I feel pretty strongly about. As soon as people start to brag about how nice they are, for me, it's like instant doubt. Cause I feel like, you gotta do good things cause they're right and they make others feel good, not because you want attention. It really ruins the message, in my view.

Yep. Definitely created my own rhythm with this one. May I suggest breaking up the middle stanza a bit? It could be easier on the eyes for some, and make the flow more distinguishable. Otherwise, lovely poem/rap, dear.
