I wrote this a few nights ago...and I still need to get a better title...Any Suggestions?

I was taught about the Bible

I heard about God, Jesus, and miracles

And from then on, to pick if I believed, I was liable

I had a simple choice

To ignore what I had learned

 Or to follow His voice?

Do I wait for others to take flight

And just follow the path of the flock

Or be lifted by the words of His great might?

So I spread my wings and started to fly

For my good Lord waits above for me

And I chose not to let a chance to be with him pass me by

Yes, I know this is my life, but to me it was gave

By my Supplier of body and blood

Who died on a cross so my soul He could save

Now do you understand why I am a Christian?

I hope you've heard his story, what he did for us

If not, please sit down, and I advise you to listen

I love your poem. More people need to read this, and actually think about it for themselves. I am a Christian, and I find this poem very uplifting.

Thank you! And yea, I agree that more people should read it- I mean, I'm not going off against other religions or anything, but I was just saying that it was my choice to believe, and that I took the chance to do so, and other people should, too!

A great poem :)
Really something that many people should read when they are fighting on what's right to believe in.
after all everyone has their choice and no one has the right to tell them they are wrong.

Amazing poem. I too am Christian, but know very little about the Bible and His word. You have inspired me to spend the afternoon pouring over the Bible to learn more. Thank you for the wonderful and inspirational words! :)

I like this simple profession of faith. There is much to gain by living this way, and nothing to lose.

I liked how you told this from the most powerful and passionate place of your heart, and it really moved me! I think this piece should be shared with everyone, because it means that much! When you said "I had a simple choice," I realized how we all deal with that simple choice, with the biggest decisions to the smallest ones! This was a great poem! -Daevid
