Build a bridge and get over it...

You’ve suffered, you’ve cried,
You’ve gone through allot.
You’ve been brought to your knees,
You’ve been double-crossed.
I know he cheated on you,
But that’s OK.
You’ll find another:
Somewhere, someday.

Don’t worry, don’t fret,
Don’t have a fit.
It’s better this way,
Don’t think about it.
I know your father just died
But trust me, don’t fret.
He won’t be forgotten:
Remember: don’t forget.

Stand still, don’t run,
Your father and mother still love you.
It isn’t your fault,
Don’t cry, don’t be a fool.
I know your parents are divorced
But it wasn’t your fault.
They will always still love you:
Don’t let time halt.

One day, you’ll see,
That this was all meant to be.
Just let me show you a way
To forget what came your way.
There’s a way to stop it
There’s a way to hold on:
Let me help you build a bridge…
Together we’ll go across…
Together we can get over it.
