I'm not afraid of my sexuality, nor am I ashamed for others to know it. However, if you're someone who doesn't support gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders, you may want to turn around and not read this. I wrote this for my best friend who shares my sexual orientation and who was being bullied for it. I love her to death and I hope I'm there for her like I've always promised to be.

If we counted this night, If we confessed what we've done, I don't know if I can keep this secret, For three days or one. As I watch the moon rise, I see you in the stars. And I can't help but wonder If this is really where we are. With your hand in mine, And our forbidden love, I'll make your world, Something from above. With your hand in mine, And our forbidden love, We'll show this world What we're truly made of. They say we're wrong, And that I'm not meant for you. They tell me my feelings, Aren't actually true. They tell me we can't be together, That it just isn't right. But I don't believe them, Not after that night. With our forbidden love, And your arms around me, I want to show them, How great this can be. With our forbidden love, And your lips on mine, We can show them, That we're just fine. I'm told I'm sick, That girls are suppose to love boys. But I can't help but think That I'm just their toy. Why can't I be with Someone like me? What difference does it make If we have the same anatomy? With our forbidden love, And her by my side, We'll show them all That this isn't a lie. We'll be together, And with our forbidden love, We'll change the world With what we're made of.
