I strolled along an empty looking street. It was probably passed midnight. With no real home, and starved, I walked down an endless path. A path with no future or meaning. A path with no hope or dreams. I, myself, wondered why I was living in the first place. Why God put me in a body of an animal hated and mistreated by humans. Why wasn't I born a human? Why was I destined with this life? All these questions burned deeper within me, leaving me with undesirable depression and pain. Just then I noticed a dark shadow, which alarmed me. I couldn't see anything, or couldn't tell what the figure was. " Who goes there?" I yelled out. The figure crawled closer to me, which made me believe it was another cat. " Hey Ashe, long time," The figure replyed. I paused and squinted my blue eyes to make out who it was. Then the moonlight shined on the cat's fur. Beautiful silver fur, with glowing purple eyes. " Len!" I smiled. " How are you?" The face of a childhood friend brought pleasure within me. " Ashe, how many times have a told you not to walk alone at night?" Len lectured. I looked at him with suprised eyes. He was always the type that would worry about others.   " I'm sorry, I won't do that again," I apologized. He looked into my eyes. Leaving a sign that he wasn't trusting me. That he knew I was going to get into trouble without him. " Anywase, what are YOU doing here?" " I was hanging with my pals," He answered. " Oh, I see," I replyed. It felt alittle uncomforable. We havn't seen each other in ages. " So, where you headed to?" He asked. " Nowhere. I'm just looking for a place to sleep for the night." " You can come with me, if you'd like," He offered. " Okay," I answered. Len smiled and guided me to a place to stay. As we were crawling passed houses, I noticed that Len had a deep scar on the left side of his throat. I was puzzled and wanted to ask him what happened, but I knew I shouldn't. ...........We walked for another ten minutes, and reached an old, empty, beaten up, house. " Is this where you live, Len?" I asked. " Yea, It's really quiet and peaceful here, so we'll be able to get a good rest," He anwered. We went through a cracked glass wall. Jumped in, and slept on a soft carpet floor. " Goodnight," I said yawning. Len layed next to me, and turned my face. " Night," He said back. I closed my eyes and went to my lovely fantasy world. The place where anything would be possible. The place that I would have happiness that is impossible to have in reality.
