I drive faster and faster wishing to be away
Stopping only once during the day
Longing to reach the place that I belong
Desperately hoping it won’t take too long
I have no choice but to stop and rest
With every added minute I can feel the pain rising in my chest
Wishing that I could quicken my pace
I long to see the smile on your face
Getting back in my car
I drive fast and far
With time running out,
I begin to shout
One more day one more night
My destination finally in my sight
Knowing I will see your face
My heart begins to race
Stepping out into the sun
My walk turns into a run
When I walk in I know I am too late
For god has already chosen your fate
