We all wait for one thing or another. Is there anything harder than waiting for the one you love? Like Pink's "Glitter in the Air" line 'have you ever sat by the phone waiting for it to ring'. I have. Have you?

Murmurs wash over me while I wait in the sand
People watching me wondering who I am
This hopeful woman standing in the sand
Waiting for her true love, her one and only man

Brisk sea air rushing over my skin
People talking to me "are you waiting for kin?"
This lonely woman standing in the sand
Waiting for her true love, her one and only man

Purple and pink skies dying in the evening
People walking past me as if I have no meaning
This hopeless woman standing in the sand
Waiting for her true love, her one and only man

Last of the moon's light flickers over the sea
People still wondering why he hasn't come back to me
This desperate woman standing in the sand
Waiting for her true love, her one and only man

Bright orange and yellow light filters up on the morning sky
People on their way wondering if I'll continue to stand by
This desolate woman turns in the sand
Longing for her true love, her one and only man
