~~Again
By M. E. Riddle
Again,
I’m on the road,
Out of Whiting
Walking alone.
And there’s lightening
-Considered my own.
Again,
I’m on the stones,
In North Dakota
Pain in my bones.
Half full now,
This carries me home.
Again,
It begins to rain.
Walking roadside,
This taunts the gnomes.
Destroying insides,
Fracturing bones.
Again,
I walk proud.
Riding this beacon;
To horizon’s edge,
Chasing demons,
Hammering this wedge.
