Carl

By M. E. Riddle

Lonely wonders,

Lurking in place,

Cosmic blunders,

Sweeping through space.

Sirus, you dog,

Births puppies in August,

Passing through Horsehead,

Essence of stardust.

Splendor of Cancer,

NG six seven,

A nebulous helix,

Somewhere in heaven.

Established in Greenwich,

He’s brought light nearer,

It’s common to cosmos,

Lock, stock and mirror.

Astro timepiece,

Ears to the tower,

Heart in the sky,

Mind with a power.
